The Park Inn Tete will be the brand’s first hotel in Mozambique when it opens in the fourth quarter of 2010. The hotel will feature 116 rooms and offer an all day restaurant, a lobby bar, a gym, and an outdoor swimming pool and terrace. Located on the banks of the Zambezi River in Northwest Mozambique, Tete is one of Africa’s most important mining areas as well as a regional trading hub.

Carlson Completes Acquisition of Key Indian Partner
Carlson, a privately-owned, global hospitality and travel company, today announced that it has completed the acquisition of the majority interest in RHW Hotel Management Services Ltd (RHW). Pursuant to the announcement it had made on January 13, 2010, Carlson now owns 87% of RHW. RHW is a leading hotel management and consultancy services company in India that has successfully managed Carlson-branded hotels in the country since 1998.

Carlson Hotels Achieves Key Milestones During First 100 Days of Ambition 2015 Growth Plan
Carlson Hotels, one of the world’s leading hotel companies, today reported on the significant progress made in the first 100 days of its long-term Ambition 2015 growth plan. Most notably, Carlson Hotels reported that investments committed to the Radisson strategy in North America already exceed USD 350 million. This includes the introduction of the upper upscale Radisson Blu international brand to the U.S. as well as property improvements to align the current U.S. portfolio with global upscale standards. Fifty percent of the existing U.S. Radisson portfolio has committed to the new standards, just 100 days after they were announced.

Carlson Becomes Majority Shareholder of The Rezidor Hotel Group
Carlson, a privately held, global hospitality and travel company, announced today that the company has acquired additional shares of The Rezidor Hotel Group AB (REZT.SK), listed on the OMX Nordic Exchange in Stockholm. The acquisition brings Carlson’s total ownership of outstanding shares in Rezidor to 50.1%.

Formosa International Hotels Corporation to acquire Regent Luxury Hotel Business From Carlson and The Rezidor Hotel Group AB
